Design Toshiko is named after an accomplished American ceramic artist and painter, Toshiko Takaezu. With work in many private and public collections including the Smithsonian American Art Museum, she pushed the boundaries of the clay medium by distilling her work to the essentials.
Textile design Toshiko accomplishes this “essentials strategy” so appropriate for today. Creating a soft background using two colors of chenille yarn, with a simple cotton motif mark we have created a timeless choice of enduring style.
